Penrith Ballroom Dance's fun-filled children's classes are for children aged from 7 years up to and including Year 12 aged students. The classes cover the three styles of Ballroom Dancing - Modern, Latin and New Vogue.

Students attending these classes will be given the opportunity to complete medal tests at various times during the year. Our medal tests are conducted by The Australian National Dance Association (ANDA). Further lessons can be arranged for anyone interested in competition dancing.

Preferred dress requirements are:

  • no chunky or dangly earrings, bracelets or chains to be worn
  • shoulder length or longer hair to be tied back
  • girls to wear a knee-length flared black skirt
  • boys to wear black trousers
  • studio polo shirt
  • firm fitting shoes - NO THONGS, SCUFFS, SLIDES OR SLIP-ONS

It is recommended that all participants wear proper ballroom dance shoes, please see Therese for information about purchasing these shoes.

Classes are held on a Tuesday afternoon, the dates are based on the public school terms. Class times are:

  • 4.30 - 5.30pm Level 2 Class
  • 5.15 - 6.15pm Level 1 Class
  • 6.15 - 7.15pm Level 3 Class
